This kit contains all parts necessary for optimum balancing of Range Rover alloy wheels.

Weight location on the wheel

* Two designs of the 18 inch wheel, 4.6 HSE (ANR4274MNH) and accessory wheel (STC8516) do not allow use of balance weights on the
outboard (visible) rim. The self-adhesive balance weights must be applied to the inboard surface but positioned as far outboard as possible. The
weight for the inboard rim is positioned as normal. The wheel balancer should be set to reflect the position of both inner and outer plane. More
weight will be required for balance using this outer plane than if outboard rim weights could be used but successful balance can be achieved.
Ensure that the wheel surface is clean to allow a good bond to the self-adhesive weight and to minimize the risk of detachment during use.

NOTE: 

From VIN VA349734 a revised design of 18 inch alloy wheel (ANR6316MNH) is fitted which uses hammer on weights on the inner and outer rims.
Although this new 18" wheel is similar in appearance to the old wheel, it is essential that the old and new versions of the wheel are not mixed on the
same vehicle due to visual and weight differences between them. It is not necessary to update vehicles to the new wheel.*

Radial run-out of the entire tread surface

The radial run-out specification for the wheel/tire assembly allows up to 3 mm radial run-out measured at the tire tread surface. when the
wheel/tire assembly is rotating on the wheel balancer, look for obvious radial run-out. The radial run-out should be measured using a dial gauge if
run-out in excess of the specification is suspected. If radial run-out of more than 3 mm is measured, the tire should be rotated on the rim to
minimize the assembly run-out by off-setting the rim run-out against the tire run-out.

Slippage of the tire on the wheel rim

In rare cases, slippage of the tire on the wheel rim has been reported. Therefore, it is important that the tire and inner wheel rim are clean and that a
proper tire mounting paste is used (i.e. Wurth 0892 800), Mark the wheel rim and tire to determine if there is any relative movement between
them.
