DETAIL

Presently if a data link connector (DLC), (J1962 connector), housing becomes damaged (located on the closure panel in the passenger footwell area) the
complete harness has to be replaced. To avoid this lengthy process the DLC housing is now available as a separate item, which may be replaced if
damaged.

ACTION REQUIRED

Should a DLC housing become damaged replace the connector using the process detailed below.

STC3398 Data Link Connector housing

PROCEDURE

The DLC is located in the passenger footwell as shown in the illustration.

Procedure for replacing the data link connector.

1.

Remove center screws from 2 scrivet fasteners. Release closing panel for access to DLC.

2.

Carefully remove the DLC from closing panel.

3.

Carefully remove the DLC housing from vehicle's harness and replace with new housing.

4.

Refit DLC to closing panel and refit closing panel.
