Fuel Filler Hose: Service and Repair

FILLER NECK ASSEMBLY.

WARNING: IF FUEL TANK IS FULL, FUEL LEVEL WILL BE ABOVE FILLER NECK APERTURE IN THE TANK. IF GAUGE
INDICATES OVER 75%, DRAIN A MINIMUM OF 10 LITERS OF FUEL FROM TANK.

(Numbers seen within image reflect procedure step numbers)

Remove

1.  Disconnect battery negative lead.

2.  Remove rear wheel arch liner.

3.  Remove fuel filler cap.

4.  Slacken clips securing hoses to filler neck.

5.  Release fill breather hose from filler neck.

6.  Disconnect fuel tank and charcoal canister hoses from vapor separator.

7.  Remove nut securing filler neck to wheel arch.

8.  Release filler neck from fuel tank hose and grommet in body aperture.

9.  Remove filler neck assembly.

Refit

10.  Apply liquid soap to grommet and mating surface of filler neck.

11.  Reverse removal procedure.
