DETAIL

The supplier of rear trailing has identified a possible problem which could lead to failure of the aluminium eye on the chassis end of the trailing link.

ACTION REQUIRED

Replace both rear trailing composite links of affected vehicles using new fasteners.

PARTS INFORMATION

ANR 3543K Rear trailing link - Includes 2 links with bushings

STC 3296K Fastener kit

PROCEDURE

Refer to Workshop Manual, section 64, "Trailing Arm and Bushes" pages 7 & 8

Use new fasteners from parts kit, install trailing links and torque bolts to 118 lbf.ft. (169 Nm) for M16 and 92 lbf.ft. (125 Nm) for M12, with vehicle
resting on suspension.

Return all parts removed to original carton for shipment to Land Rover North America.

Enter record of work in Passport to Service.

Install Campaign Completion Label on engine cooling fan shroud
