Seat Cushion to Backrest Gap

AFFECTED VEHICLE RANGE:

With 8-way adjustable electric driver's seat

CONDITION SUMMARY:
BRACKET MOVEMENT CAUSES GAP BETWEEN SEAT BOTTOM AND BACK

A customer may report a concern of an excessive gap developing between the driver's side seat base cushion and the seat back backrest on vehicles with
the 8-way adjustable seat.

Cause: 
Under certain heavy load conditions to the front of the seat cushion, the front tilt bracket can pivot causing a gap to appear at the cushion/backrest line.

Action: 
Should a customer complain about the gap between the seat cushions, refer to the Repair Procedure in this bulletin to install a redesigned tilt bracket.
