"Low Coolant Level" Message or Warning Lamp Illuminated
AFFECTED VEHICLE RANGE:

CONDITION SUMMARY:
"LOW COOLANT LEVEL" MESSAGE OR WARNING LAMP ILLUMINATED
Situation:
A customer may report that the "Low Coolant" amber warning lamp is illuminated or a "Low Coolant Level" message is displayed in the Message Center
when the engine coolant expansion tank volume is within recommended levels.
The coolant level float in the expansion tank can absorb coolant causing the float to sink. The warning lamp and message will display when the float
sinks below the low level sensor trigger point.
Action:
Should a customer express a concern related to the above condition, within the specified VIN range, refer to the Repair Procedure detailed in this
bulletin.

WARNING:
Care must be taken to prevent injury from escaping hot steam or coolant. The coolant expansion tank filler cap must not be removed while the
system is hot.
