Windshield Washer Inoperative

AFFECTED VEHICLE RANGE:

Range Rover Sport (LS)

VIN: 6A900129 to 6A947665

CONDITION SUMMARY:

WINDSHIELD WASHER INOPERATIVE WITH FROZEN FLUID

Situation:
Dilution of the factory windshield washer fluid solution or use of a non-recommended washer fluid solution may allow the fluid to freeze during low
ambient temperatures. Operation of the windshield washer while the fluid is frozen may cause the washer pump circuit fuse to open.

Action:
Should the washer system become inoperative as a result of frozen fluid causing a blown fuse, refer to the Repair Procedure detailed in this bulletin to
upgrade the fuse and install a new fuse box label.

DDW requires the use of causal part numbers. Labor only claims must show the causal part number with a quantity of zero.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

NOTE:

If the washer bottle fluid has become frozen, replacing the 10 Amp windshield washer pump fuse with a 15 Amp fuse will allow the motor to stall
before blowing the fuse. Vehicles after the affected VIN range will have a 15 Amp washer pump fuse installed. The Owner's Handbook will be
updated at the earliest opportunity.

REPLACE WINDSHIELD WASHER MOTOR FUSE AND FUSE BOX LABEL

1.

Access the Central Junction Box (CJB), located on the passenger side of the vehicle, behind the lower glove box door.

2.

Locate the windshield washer pump Fuse 11 and remove the 10 Amp fuse.

3.

Install the new 15 Amp fuse into Fuse 11 location.
