Oil Pan: Service and Repair

 Refer to Fig. 33 when replacing the oil pan. 

1.

Disable airbag system as described under MAINTENANCE PROCEDURE/AIRBAG SYSTEM DISARMING.

2.

Remove engine undercovers, then drain engine oil.

3.

Remove suspension lower crossmember, then disconnect front exhaust pipe.

4.

Remove engine mounting center member, then the stiffener plate.

5.

Insert seal cutting tool 09032-00100 or equivalent, between block and oil pan to cut seal. Then remove oil pan.

6.

Insert seal cutting tool 09032-00100 or equivalent, between block and oil pan baffle plate to cut seal, then remove oil pan baffle plate.

7.

Reverse procedure to install. Rearm airbag system as previously described.
