7. Connect the positive lead from the dry cell batteries to terminal 2 through a 3.4W test bulb and the negative lead to terminal 3, Fig. 38.
8. Ensure voltage rises between terminals 2 and 3 as the float is moved from top to bottom position.
9. Measure resistance between terminals 2 and 3 for each float position. Resistance should be as follows:

a. Full position: about 3.0 ohms.
b. Empty position: about 110.0 ohms.
c. If resistance is not as specified, replace sender gauge.
