TVV Inspection - Cold
TVV Inspection
- Drain the engine coolant from the radiator into a suitable container.
- Remove the TVV from the water by-pass outlet.
- Cool the TVV to below 35°C (95°F) with cool water.
- Blow air into the pipe, and check that the TVV is closed.
TVV Inspection - Hot
- Heat the TVV to above 56°C (133°F) with hot water.
- Blow air into the pipe, and check that the TVV is open. If a problem is found, replace the TVV.
- Apply adhesive to two or three threads of the TVV, and reinstall.
Torque: 29 N-m (300 kgf.cm, 22 ft.lb)
- Refill the radiator with engine coolant.
