Air Flow Meter/Sensor: Service and Repair

PROCEDURE 

Removal 

1. Disconnect cable from negative terminal of battery.

CAUTION:  Turn the ignition switch to "LOCK". Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) terminal of the battery. Wait 90 seconds before
proceeding with work.

2. Remove air cleaner hose.

Disconnect the power steering air hose to the air cleaner hose.

Loosen the 2 hose clamps, and remove the air cleaner hose.

3. Remove Volume Air Flow Meter from air cleaner.

-

Disconnect the high - tension cord from the cord clamp.

-

Disconnect the Volume Air Flow Meter connector.

-

Disconnect the wire clamp from the bracket.

-

Remove the 4 nuts, bolt, Volume Air Flow Meter and gasket.
