Throttle Body: Service and Repair
Removal

PROCEDURE

1. Disconnect cable from negative terminal of battery.

CAUTION:  Turn the Ignition Switch to "LOCK". Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) terminal of the battery. Wait 90 seconds before
proceeding with work.

2. Drain engine coolant.

3. Disconnect the following control cables from Throttle Body.

Accelerator cable (1)

-

A/T throttle control cable (2)

-

Cruise control actuator cable (3)

4. Remove intake air connector pipe and disconnect the following hoses:

-

Power steering air hose from air connector pipe (1)

-

Positive Crankcase Ventilation hose from No.2 cylinder head cover (2)

-

Loosen the 2 hose clamps, and remove the air connector pipe with the hoses.

5. Remove the 4 nuts, and disconnect the Throttle Body bracket from the Throttle Body and cylinder head.
6. Remove Throttle Body.
