Radius Arm: Service and Repair

Removal

1.

Raise and support vehicle, then remove wheel and tire assembly.

2.

Disconnect strut rod from axle carrier.

3.

Disconnect strut rod from body.

Installation

1.

Temporarily install strut rod to body, ensuring the nut is positioned correctly.

2.

Temporarily install strut rod to axle carrier making sure the nut is positioned correctly.

3.

Install wheel and tire assembly and torque to specification, then lower vehicle and bounce up and down several times to stabilize suspension.

4.

Torque both strut rod mounting bolts to specification, then check rear wheel alignment.
