2. DISCONNECT SPEED SENSOR FRONT LH

a. Disconnect the speed sensor connector from the speed sensor front LH.

NOTICE:

Be careful not to damage the speed sensor.

^

Prevent foreign matter from adhering to the speed sensor.

3. REMOVE FRONT DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY LH
4. REMOVE FRONT AXLE HUB SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
5. REMOVE SPEED SENSOR FRONT LH

a. Install the 3 hub bolts. Placing an aluminum plate below the hub and bearing assembly, hold them in a vise.

NOTICE:  Replace the hub and bearing assembly if it is dropped or receives a strong shock.

b. Remove the 2 pins from the SST (09520-00031) and separate the attachment (09521-00010) using a pin punch (3 mm) or hammer.

c. Remove the skid control sensor from the hub and bearing assembly using the SST and 2 bolts (90101-12007).

NOTICE:  Keep the sensor away from magnets. Pull the skid control sensor off straight, taking care not to make contact with the skid control
sensor rotor. If the speed sensor rotor is damaged or deformed, replace the hub and bearing assembly. Do not scratch the area where the skid
control sensor contacts the hub and bearing assembly. Do not attach foreign matter to the speed sensor rotor.

INSPECTION

1. INSPECT SPEED SENSOR FRONT

a. Inspect the speed sensor front.

If any of the following occurs, replace the speed sensor front with a new one:

The surface of the speed sensor front is cracked, dented, or chipped off.

^

The connector or wire harness is scratched, cracked, or damaged.

^

The speed sensor front has been dropped.
