Cabin Temperature Sensor / Switch: Service and Repair

REMOVAL

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:  Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt
pretensioner activation.

2. REMOVE FRONT CONSOLE UPPER PANEL GARNISH
3. REMOVE CONSOLE UPPER PANEL ASSEMBLY
4. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END LH
5. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH
6. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM COVER LH
7. REMOVE INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL LH
8. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL NO. 1 SAFETY PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY
9. REMOVE DRIVER SIDE KNEE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY

10. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL NO. 1 UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
11. REMOVE ROOM TEMPERATURE SENSOR

a. Disconnect the connector and air hose.
b. Detach the claw and remove the sensor.

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL ROOM TEMPERATURE SENSOR

a. Install the sensor with the claw.
b. Connect the connector and attach the air hose.

2. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL NO. 1 UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
3. INSTALL DRIVER SIDE KNEE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY
4. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL NO. 1 SAFETY PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY
5. INSTALL INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL LH
6. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM COVER LH
7. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH
8. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END LH
9. INSTALL CONSOLE UPPER PANEL ASSEMBLY

10. INSTALL FRONT CONSOLE UPPER PANEL GARNISH
11. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
12. PERFORM INITIALIZATION

a. Perform initialization
