a. Turn back the upper part of the luggage compartment trim cover inner RH to remove the acceleration sensor assembly
b. Disconnect the acceleration sensor connector.
c. Remove the bolt and the acceleration sensor assembly.
3. REMOVE ACCELERATION SENSOR
a. Remove the nut and acceleration sensor from the bracket.
4. INSTALL ACCELERATION SENSOR
a. Install the acceleration sensor to the bracket with the nut.
Torque: 7.8 Nm (80 kgf-cm, 69 inch lbs.)
NOTICE:

Avoid any impact to the acceleration sensor.

Do not drop the acceleration sensor. If it is dropped, replace it with a new one.
5. INSTALL ACCELERATION SENSOR ASSEMBLY
a. Install the acceleration sensor assembly with the bolt.
Torque: 8.5 Nm (87 kgf-cm, 75 inch lbs.)
NOTICE:

Avoid any impact to the acceleration sensor.

Do not drop the acceleration sensor. If it is dropped, replace it with a new one.
b. Connect the acceleration sensor connector.
c. Install the luggage compartment trim cover inner RH.
6. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
7. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
Some systems need initialization when disconnecting the cable from the negative battery terminal.
