Steering Angle Sensor: Service and Repair
Installation

BRAKE CONTROL: STEERING ANGLE SENSOR: INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL STEERING SENSOR

(a) Align the locating pins, engage the claws and install the steering sensor to the spiral cable sub-assembly

2. INSTALL SPIRAL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY WITH STEERING SENSOR See: Restraint Systems/Air Bag Systems/Clockspring Assembly /

Spiral Cable/Service and Repair/Installation

3. INSTALL STEERING COLUMN COVER

for 2GR-FSE  See: Steering and Suspension/Steering/Steering Column/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Installation

for 1UR-FSE  See: Steering and Suspension/Steering/Steering Column/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Installation

4. CENTER SPIRAL CABLE See: Restraint Systems/Air Bag Systems/Clockspring Assembly / Spiral Cable/Service and Repair/Installation
5. INSTALL STEERING WHEEL ASSEMBLY

for 2GR-FSE  See: Steering and Suspension/Steering/Steering Column/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Installation

for 1UR-FSE  See: Steering and Suspension/Steering/Steering Column/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Installation

6. INSTALL HORN BUTTON ASSEMBLY See: Restraint Systems/Air Bag Systems/Air Bag/Service and Repair/Steering Pad/Installation
7. INSPECT STEERING WHEEL CENTER POINT
8. CONNECT BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL

NOTE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected  See: Testing and Inspection/Programming
and Relearning.

9. INSPECT HORN BUTTON ASSEMBLY See: Restraint Systems/Air Bag Systems/Air Bag/Service and Repair/Steering Pad/Installation

10. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT
