Removal
2GR-FSE ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM: CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR: REMOVAL
REMOVAL
1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt
pretensioner activation.
2. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Engine

3. REMOVE V-BANK COVER See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Engine

4. REMOVE NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Engine
Assembly/Removal
5. DISCHARGE REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM See: Heating and Air Conditioning/Service and Repair
6. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER (for 2WD)
7. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER (for 4WD)
8. REMOVE REAR ENGINE UNDER COVER LH (for 2WD)

16. REMOVE CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR
(a) Disconnect the sensor connector.
(b) Remove the bolt and sensor.
