Tire Pressure Module: Service and Repair
Replacement
TIRE AND WHEEL: TIRE PRESSURE WARNING ECU: REPLACEMENT
REPLACEMENT
1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
NOTE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected See: Testing and Inspection/Programming
and Relearning.
2. REMOVE RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY
HINT: Refer to the instructions for removal of the radio receiver assembly See: Accessories and Optional Equipment/Radio, Stereo, and
Compact Disc/Radio/Stereo/Service and Repair/Removal.
3. REMOVE TIRE PRESSURE MONITOR ECU
(a) Disconnect the connector.
(b) Remove the 2 bolts and tire pressure monitor ECU.
4. INSTALL TIRE PRESSURE MONITOR ECU
(a) Install the tire pressure monitor ECU with the 2 bolts.
Torque: 4.5 Nm (46 kgf-cm, 40 in-lbf)
(b) Connect the connector.
5. INSTALL RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY
HINT: Refer to the instructions for installation of the radio receiver assembly See: Accessories and Optional Equipment/Radio, Stereo, and
Compact Disc/Radio/Stereo/Service and Repair/Installation.
6. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
NOTE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected See: Testing and Inspection/Programming
and Relearning.
7. REGISTRATION OF TRANSMITTER ID
