Back Window Glass: Service and Repair
Removal

WINDSHIELD / WINDOWGLASS: BACK WINDOW GLASS: REMOVAL

REMOVAL

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt
pretensioner activation.

2. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY See: Body and Frame/Seats/Service and Repair/Rear Seat Assembly/Removal
3. REMOVE REAR SEAT BELT OUTER ANCHOR See: Restraint Systems/Seat Belt Systems/Seat Belt/Service and Repair/Rear Seat Outer Belt

Assembly/Removal

4. REMOVE REAR SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY RH AND LH
5. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY See: Body and Frame/Seats/Service and Repair/Rear Seat Assembly/Removal
6. REMOVE REAR SEAT INNER WITH CENTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH See: Restraint Systems/Seat Belt Systems/Seat Belt/Service and

7. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Headliner/Service and Repair/Removal
8. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR GARNISH LOWER See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Headliner/Service and Repair/Removal
9. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR GARNISH See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Headliner/Service and Repair/Removal

10. REMOVE REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Headliner/Service and Repair/Removal
11. REMOVE ROOF SIDE GARNISH INNER See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Headliner/Service and Repair/Removal
12. REMOVE PACKAGE TRAY TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY (w/ Sunshade) See: Window Shade/Service and Repair/Removal
13. REMOVE NO. 2 PACKAGE TRAY TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY See: Window Shade/Service and Repair/Removal

Inner Belt Assembly/Removal

15. REMOVE REAR ROOM LIGHT ASSEMBLY See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Headliner/Service and Repair/Removal
16. REMOVE ASSIST GRIP ASSEMBLY See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Headliner/Service and Repair/Removal
17. REMOVE ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY

It is not necessary to completely remove the roof headlining. Slightly lower the rear section of the roof headlining so that the back window glass can be
removed  See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Headliner/Service and Repair/Installation.

18. REMOVE BACK WINDOW MOULDING

(a) Using a knife, cut off the moulding as shown in the illustration.

NOTE:
Be careful not to damage the vehicle body with the knife.

(b) Remove the remaining moulding.

HINT: Make a partial cut in the moulding. Then pull and remove it by hand.
