Removal

WIPER AND WASHER: HEADLIGHT CLEANER ACTUATOR: REMOVAL

REMOVAL

HINT:
-

Use the same procedures for both the RH and LH sides.

-

The procedures listed below are for the LH side.

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt
pretensioner activation.

2. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL See: Body and Frame/Bumper/Front Bumper/Service and Repair/Removal
3. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER COVER See: Body and Frame/Bumper/Front Bumper/Service and Repair/Removal
4. REMOVE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY See: Lighting and Horns/Headlamp/Service and Repair/Removal

5. REMOVE HEADLIGHT WASHER ACTUATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 2 screws and headlight washer actuator.

6. REMOVE HEADLIGHT CLEANER HOSE

(a) Disconnect the hose from the headlight cleaner motor and pump.

(b) Using a screwdriver, detach the 5 clamps and remove the hose.

HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
