CAUTION:

Wait for 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable to prevent the airbag working.

NOTICE:

When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected  See: Testing and Inspection/Programming and
Relearning/Steering Initialization.

2. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Engine

3. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Engine

4. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Engine

5. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM ECU COVER

(a) Remove the 3 bolts and engine room ECU cover.

NOTICE:
-

Wipe off any water on or around the engine room ECU cover.

-

Perform this step in a dry place away from rain, etc.

-

Do not allow water to enter the ECM through its connectors, screws, etc.

6. DISCONNECT WIRE HARNESS

(a) Detach the claw and disconnect the No. 4 connector holder.

(b) Disconnect the 6 ECM connectors.

7. REMOVE ECM
