1. REMOVE STEERING COLUMN ASSEMBLY (for 2GR-FSE)

HINT:

Refer to the instructions for removal of the steering column assembly (2GR-FSE)  See: Steering and Suspension/Steering/Steering Column/Service and
Repair/Removal and Replacement/Removal.

2. REMOVE STEERING COLUMN ASSEMBLY (for 1UR-FSE)

HINT:

Refer to the instructions for removal of the steering column assembly (1UR-FSE)  See: Steering and Suspension/Steering/Steering Column/Service and
Repair/Removal and Replacement/Removal.

3. REMOVE STEERING LOCK ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY

(a) Using a center punch, mark the center of the 2  tapered-head bolts.
(b)  Using a 3 to 4 mm (0.12 to 0.16 in.) drill, drill a hole  in the 2 bolts.

(c) Using a screw extractor, remove the 2 bolts and  steering lock actuator assembly from the steering  column assembly.

4. REMOVE MULTIPLEX TILT AND TELESCOPIC ECU

(a) Disconnect the connector form the multiplex tilt and telescopic ECU.
(b) Using a screwdriver, remove the 2 screws and multiplex tilt and telescopic ECU.

Installation

STEERING COLUMN: MULTIPLEX TILT AND TELESCOPIC ECU: INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL MULTIPLEX TILT AND TELESCOPIC ECU

(a) Using a socket wrench (+), install the multiplex tilt and telescopic ECU with the 2 screws.

Torque: 1.5 Nm (15 kgf-cm, 13 in-lbf)

(b) Connect the connector to the multiplex tilt and telescopic ECU.
