Braking Sensor/Switch: Service and Repair
Removal

BRAKE CONTROL: BRAKE PEDAL STROKE SENSOR: REMOVAL

1. DISCONNECT BATTERY CABLE  FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

NOTICE:

When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected  See: Testing and Inspection/Programming and
Relearning/Steering Initialization.

2. REMOVE CONSOLE UPPER PANEL GARNISH FRONT See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Console/Service and Repair/Removal

3. REMOVE CONSOLE UPPER PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Console/Service and Repair/Removal

4. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END LH See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Console/Service and

Repair/Removal

5. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Headliner/Service and Repair/Removal

6. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM COVER LH See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Headliner/Service and Repair/Removal

8. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL NO.1 UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Dashboard /

Instrument Panel/Service and Repair/Removal

9. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL NO.1 SAFETY PAD SUB- ASSEMBLY See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Dashboard /

10. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL AIR BAG ASSEMBLY LOWER NO.1 See: Restraint Systems/Air Bag Systems/Air Bag/Service and

Repair/Driver Side Knee Airbag Assembly/Removal

11. REMOVE BRAKE PEDAL STROKE SENSOR ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the brake pedal stroke sensor assembly connector.

(b) Remove the 2 nuts and the brake pedal stroke sensor assembly.
