Fuel Pressure Sensor/Switch: Service and Repair
Installation

1UR-FSE FUEL: FUEL PRESSURE SENSOR: INSTALLATION

1. PRECAUTION

CAUTION:
-

Do not smoke or work near an open flame when handling the fuel system.

-

Keep gasoline away from rubber or leather parts.

-

Do not allow fuel to spray when removing the pipe between the high pressure side fuel pump and the fuel injector. The fuel in the
pipe is highly pressurized.

2. INSTALL FUEL PRESSURE SENSOR

(a) Install a new gasket to the fuel pressure sensor.

(b) Using SST, install the fuel pressure sensor to the No. 1 delivery pipe.

SST: 09922-10010
without SST - Torque: 44 Nm (449 kgf-cm, 32 ft-lbf)
with SST - Torque: 40 Nm (409 kgf-cm, 30 ft-lbf)

NOTICE:

-

Do not apply oil to threads of the pressure sensor and delivery pipe.

-

Do not allow foreign matter to enter the pipe during the installation.

HINT:
-

Use a torque wrench with a fulcrum length of 30 cm (11.81 in.).

-

Make sure SST and a wrench are connected in a straight line.

(c) Connect the connector.

3. INSTALL NO. 2 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY See: Powertrain Management/Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Fuel Injector/Service and

4. INSTALL INTAKE MANIFOLD

(a) Install the intake manifold See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Intake Manifold/Service and Repair/Installation.

5. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
