Removal

AA80E AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION: TCM: REMOVAL

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

NOTICE:

When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected  See: Testing and Inspection/Programming and
Relearning/Steering Initialization.

2. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Engine

3. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Engine

4. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM ECU COVER See: Powertrain Management/Computers and Control Systems/Engine Control Module/Service and

Repair/Removal and Replacement/Removal

5. DISCONNECT WIRE HARNESS See: Powertrain Management/Computers and Control Systems/Engine Control Module/Service and

Repair/Removal and Replacement/Removal

6. REMOVE TCM

(a) Disconnect the 2 connectors.

(b) Remove the 2 nuts and TCM.
