Introduction

Under certain conditions, some 2003 - 2006 model year GX 470 vehicles may exhibit M.I.L. "ON" with DTC B1153. The sub-wire harness assembly
leading to the seat position sensor has been improved to prevent this condition.

Warranty Information

Applicable Warranty:
This repair is covered under the Lexus Powertrain Warranty. This warranty is in effect for 72 months or 70,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the
vehicle's in-service date.

* Warranty application is limited to correction of a problem based upon a customer's specific complaint.

Repair Procedure

Should an M.I.L. "ON" condition with DTC B1153 be encountered, perform diagnostic procedures as described in the Repair Manual.

When checking Floor Wire No. 2, be aware that there is a sub-harness that is included with the seat belt buckle assembly (connector B12 to seat
position sensor 2-pin connector).
