ROOF RACK END COVER DAMAGE

Introduction 

Some customers may notice the end covers of the roof rack are damaged or missing. New parts have been developed to prevent the cross bars from
traveling too far back and damaging or dislodging the end covers.

Applicable Vehicles:

2003 - 2006 model year GX 470 vehicles produced BEFORE the Production Change Effective VIN shown below.

Warranty Information

Applicable Warranty:

This repair is covered under the Lexus Comprehensive Warranty. This warranty is in effect for 48 months or 50,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from
the vehicle's in-service date.

* Warranty application is limited to correction of a problem based upon a customer's specific complaint.

Repair Procedure

1.

Remove the right and left side roof rack end covers.

2.

Install the right and left stoppers into the roof rail.
