Install Steering Intermediate Shaft Cover. (See Figures 3 and 8.)

A.

Install the steering intermediate shaft cover with the 4 bolts.

Torque: 5 N.m (50 kgf.cm, 44 in..lbf)

Install New Steering Sliding Yoke. (See Figures 3 and 9.)

A.

Install the steering sliding yoke to the steering column assembly and slide it upward.

B.

Install the steering sliding yoke to the intermediate shaft No. 2 with the 2 bolts.

NOTE:

Torque the sliding yoke bolts when the vehicle is resting on the ground.

Torque: 36 N.m (370 kgf.cm, 26 ft.-lbf)

Install Front Fender Splash Shield.
