Headlamp Dimmer Switch: Service and Repair

REMOVAL

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:  Wait for 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable to prevent airbag deployment

2. REMOVE NO. 2 LOWER STEERING WHEEL COVER
3. REMOVE NO. 3 LOWER STEERING WHEEL COVER
4. REMOVE STEERING PAD
5. REMOVE STEERING WHEEL ASSEMBLY
6. REMOVE STEERING COLUMN COVER (for Power Tilt and Power Telescopic)
7. REMOVE STEERING COLUMN COVER (for Manual Tilt and Telescopic)
8. REMOVE SPIRAL CABLE WITH STEERING ANGLE SENSOR
9. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER SWITCH ASSEMBLY

10. REMOVE HEADLIGHT DIMMER SWITCH ASSEMBLY

a. Disconnect the connector.
b. Disengage the clamp and claw as shown in the illustration.

c. Remove the headlight dimmer switch assembly as shown in the illustration.

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL HEADLIGHT DIMMER SWITCH ASSEMBLY

a. Install the headlight dimmer switch assembly as shown in the illustration.
