2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:  Wait for 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable to prevent airbag deployment.

3. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Automatic Transmission)
4. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Manual Transmission)
5. REMOVE UPPER NO.1 CONSOLE PANEL GARNISH (for Automatic Transmission)
6. REMOVE UPPER NO.2 CONSOLE PANEL GARNISH (for Automatic Transmission)
7. REMOVE CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Automatic Transmission)
8. REMOVE REAR CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Manual Transmission)
9. REMOVE FRONT CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Manual Transmission)

10. REMOVE FRONT ASH RECEPTACLE SUB-ASSEMBLY
11. REMOVE REAR ASH RECEPTACLE ASSEMBLY
12. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX REGISTER ASSEMBLY
13. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX

14. REMOVE CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY

a. Disconnect the holder (with connectors).
b. Remove the nut, 2 bolts and center airbag sensor assembly.

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY

a. Check that the engine switch is off.
b. Check that the battery negative (-) terminal is disconnected.

NOTE:  After disconnecting the negative battery terminal, wait for at least 90 seconds before starting the operation.

c. Install the center airbag sensor assembly with the nut and 2 bolts.

Torque: 17.5 N.m (179 kgf.cm, 13 ft.lbf)

NOTE:
-

If the center airbag sensor assembly has been dropped, or there are any cracks, dents or other defects in the case, bracket or connector,
replace it with a new one.

When installing the center airbag sensor assembly, be careful that the SRS wiring does not interfere with other parts and that it is not
pinched between other parts.

d. Check that there is no looseness in the installation parts of the center airbag sensor assembly.
e. Connect the holder (with connectors).
f.

Check that the water-proof sheet is properly set.
