DOOR LOCK: FRONT DOOR LOCK: REMOVAL

1. PRECAUTION (w/ Navigation System for HDD)

NOTICE:
After the engine switch is turned off, the display and navigation module display (HDD navigation system) records various types of
memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, make sure to wait at least 60 seconds before disconnecting the
cable from the negative (-) battery terminal    See: Accessories and Optional Equipment/Navigation System/Service Precautions.

2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

NOTICE:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

5. REMOVE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY WITH FRONT DOOR ARMREST BASE PANEL   See:

6. REMOVE COURTESY LIGHT ASSEMBLY   See: Lighting and Horns/Courtesy Lamp/Service and Repair/Vehicle Interior/Door Courtesy

Light/Removal

7. REMOVE FRONT DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY   See: Doors, Hood and Trunk/Doors/Front Door/Service and Repair/Disassembly

8. REMOVE FRONT DOOR TRIM COVER   See: Doors, Hood and Trunk/Doors/Front Door/Service and Repair/Disassembly

9. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER

(a) Disconnect the door side airbag sensor connector.

(b) Remove the front door service hole cover    See: Doors, Hood and Trunk/Doors/Front Door/Service and Repair/Disassembly.

10. REMOVE FRONT DOOR UPPER WINDOW STOP   See: Doors, Hood and Trunk/Doors/Front Door/Service and Repair/Disassembly

11. REMOVE FRONT DOOR GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY   See: Doors, Hood and Trunk/Doors/Front Door/Service and Repair/Disassembly

12. REMOVE FRONT DOOR WINDOW REGULATOR ASSEMBLY   See: Doors, Hood and Trunk/Doors/Front Door/Service and

Repair/Disassembly

13. REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY

(a) Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 3 screws.

(b) Slide the front door lock assembly downward, pull out the front door lock open rod from the outside handle frame, and remove the front door

lock assembly and cables as a unit.

(c) Remove the front door lock open rod from the front door lock assembly.

(d) Remove the door lock wiring harness seal from the front door lock assembly.

14. REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOCK REMOTE CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the front door lock remote control cable assembly.
