Cruise Control Module: Service and Repair
Installation
CRUISE CONTROL: DISTANCE CONTROL ECU: INSTALLATION
1. INSTALL DISTANCE CONTROL ECU
(a) Install the distance control ECU with the nut.
Torque : 5.5 Nm (56 kgf-cm, 49 in-lbf)
NOTICE:
Do not install the distance control ECU if it has been damaged or impacted in any way.
(b) Connect the distance control ECU connector.

3. INSTALL LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Dashboard /
Instrument Panel/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Installation
4. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Dashboard /
Instrument Panel/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Installation
5. INSTALL INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL LH See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Dashboard / Instrument Panel/Service and
Repair/Removal and Replacement/Installation
6. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM COVER LH See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Headliner/Service and
Repair/Removal and Replacement/Roof Headlining (for Front Side)/Installation
7. INSTALL DOOR SCUFF PLATE ASSEMBLY LH See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Headliner/Service and Repair/Removal and
Replacement/Roof Headlining (for Front Side)/Installation
8. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
9. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT

10. INITIALIZE DISTANCE CONTROL ECU
NOTICE:
When replacing the distance control ECU, perform the following procedure so that the ECU can learn the specification.
(a) Be sure to perform the following procedure after replacing the distance control ECU.
(1) Turn the engine switch on (IG).
(2) Turn the cruise control main switch on.
(3) With the brake pedal depressed, push the cruise control main switch to RES/ACC 3 times within 3 seconds. Check that the buzzer sounds
at this time.
(b) Perform any of the following to cancel beam axis adjustment mode.
