Headlamp Bulb: Service and Repair
Removal

LIGHTING (EXT): HIGH INTENSITY DISCHARGE HEADLIGHT BULB: REMOVAL

1. PRECAUTION (w/ Navigation System for HDD)

NOTICE:
After the engine switch is turned off, the display and navigation module display (HDD navigation system) records various types of
memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, make sure to wait at least 60 seconds before disconnecting the
cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected    See: Testing and Inspection/Repair
Instruction - Initialization.

3. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL   See: Body and Frame/Bumper/Front Bumper/Service and Repair/Removal and

Replacement/Removal

4. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH (for LH Side)   See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Service and Repair/Removal and

Replacement/Engine Assembly/Removal

5. REMOVE WASHER HOSE (for LH Side)

(a) Remove the bolt and the washer hose.

6. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH (for RH Side)   See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Service and Repair/Removal and

Replacement/Engine Assembly/Removal

7. REMOVE INLET NO. 1 AIR CLEANER (for RH Side)

for 2GR-FSE    See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Engine Assembly/Removal

for 4GR-FSE    See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Engine Assembly/Removal

8. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE (for RH Side)   See: Powertrain Management/Fuel Delivery and Air

9. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY (for RH Side)

for 2GR-FSE    See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Engine Assembly/Removal

10. REMOVE NO. 1 HEADLIGHT BACK COVER

(a) Remove the No. 1 headlight back cover as shown in the illustration.
