Steering Angle Sensor: Service and Repair
Installation

BRAKE CONTROL / DYNAMIC CONTROL SYSTEMS: STEERING ANGLE SENSOR: INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL STEERING ANGLE SENSOR

(a) Align the locating pins, engage the 6 claws and install the steering angle sensor to the spiral cable.

2. INSTALL SPIRAL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY WITH STEERING ANGLE SENSOR   See: Restraint Systems/Air Bag Systems/Clockspring

3. INSTALL STEERING COLUMN COVER (for Upper Side)   See: Steering and Suspension/Steering/Steering Column/Service and

Repair/Removal and Replacement/Installation

4. INSTALL STEERING COLUMN COVER (for Lower Side)   See: Steering and Suspension/Steering/Steering Column/Service and

Repair/Removal and Replacement/Installation

5. TURN FRONT WHEELS FACING STRAIGHT AHEAD

6. ADJUST SPIRAL CABLE   See: Restraint Systems/Air Bag Systems/Clockspring Assembly / Spiral Cable/Service and Repair/Installation

7. INSTALL STEERING WHEEL ASSEMBLY   See: Steering and Suspension/Steering/Steering Wheel/Service and Repair/Installation

8. INSTALL STEERING PAD   See: Restraint Systems/Air Bag Systems/Air Bag/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Steering

Pad/Installation

9. INSTALL LOWER NO. 3 STEERING WHEEL COVER   See: Restraint Systems/Air Bag Systems/Air Bag/Service and Repair/Removal and

Replacement/Steering Pad/Installation

10. INSTALL LOWER NO. 2 STEERING WHEEL COVER   See: Restraint Systems/Air Bag Systems/Air Bag/Service and Repair/Removal and

Replacement/Steering Pad/Installation

11. INSPECT STEERING WHEEL CENTER POINT

(a) Inspect the steering wheel center point.

12. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

14. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT
