Compression Check: Testing and Inspection

INSPECT COMPRESSION

a. Warm up and stop the engine.

NOTICE:  A warmed up engine should have an engine coolant temperature of over 80°C (176°F) and an engine oil temperature of 60°C (140
°F), and the engine rpm should be stabilized.

b. Remove the cool air intake duct seal. 
c. Remove engine room side cover LH.
d. Remove engine room side cover RH.
e. Remove the V-bank cover.
f.

Remove the air cleaner inlet No. 1.

g. Remove the air cleaner cap with the air cleaner hose.

h. Disconnect the 3 clamps and connector.

Disconnect the 4 connectors. Disconnect the throttle body connector.

k. Disconnect the 6 injector connectors.
l.

Remove the 6 ignition coils.

m. Remove the 6 spark plugs.

n. Disconnect the 2 injector driver connectors as shown in the illustration.
