DOOR LOCK: REAR DOOR LOCK: REMOVAL

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system

NOTICE: When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected  See: Testing and
Inspection/Programming and Relearning/Repair Instruction - Initialization.

2. REMOVE REAR DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL PLUG See: Doors, Hood and Trunk/Doors/Rear Door/Service and Repair/Disassembly

3. REMOVE REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY WITH REAR DOOR ARMREST BASE PANEL See: Doors,

Hood and Trunk/Doors/Rear Door/Service and Repair/Disassembly

4. REMOVE REAR DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY See: Doors, Hood and Trunk/Doors/Rear Door/Service and Repair/Disassembly

5. REMOVE REAR DOOR TRIM COVER See: Doors, Hood and Trunk/Doors/Rear Door/Service and Repair/Disassembly

6. REMOVE REAR DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER See: Doors, Hood and Trunk/Doors/Rear Door/Service and Repair/Disassembly

7. REMOVE REAR DOOR GLASS RUN See: Doors, Hood and Trunk/Doors/Rear Door/Service and Repair/Disassembly

8. REMOVE REAR DOOR WINDOW DIVISION BAR SUB-ASSEMBLY See: Doors, Hood and Trunk/Doors/Rear Door/Service and

Repair/Disassembly

9. REMOVE REAR DOOR GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY See: Doors, Hood and Trunk/Doors/Rear Door/Service and Repair/Disassembly

10. REMOVE REAR DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the connector.

(b) Using a "TORX" socket wrench (T30), remove the 3 screws and the rear door lock assembly.
(c) Slide the rear door lock assembly downward and pull the release plate out of the rear door outside handle frame.
(d) Remove the door lock wiring harness seal from the rear door lock assembly.

11. REMOVE REAR DOOR LOCK REMOTE CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY

(a) Using a screwdriver, disengage the claw.
