(a) Remove the lock nut from the No. 1 parking brake assembly.
(b) Loosen the No. 1 wire adjusting nut and parking brake.

36. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE RETURN WITH DAMPER SPRING

(a) Remove the parking brake return with damper spring.

37. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE EQUALIZER

(a) Remove the 2 bolts, and separate the No. 2 parking brake cable assembly and No. 3 parking brake cable assembly from the parking brake

equalizer.

(b) Slide the rubber boot as shown in the illustration.

(c) Remove the parking brake equalizer from the No. 1 parking brake cable assembly.

38. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE CONTROL PEDAL ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 2 bolts and 3 nuts, and separate the No. 1 parking brake cable assembly from the body.
