1. PRECAUTION See: Powertrain Management/Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Fuel Injector/Service and Repair/Fuel Injector (for Direct

Injection)/Removal

2. DISCHARGE FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE See: Powertrain Management/Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Service Precautions
3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
NOTICE: When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected  See: Testing and
Inspection/Programming and Relearning/Repair Instruction - Initialization.

4. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Engine Assembly/Removal

5. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Engine Assembly/Removal
