(a) Install the ECM cover with the 3 bolts.

Torque: 5.5 Nm (56 kgf-cm, 49 in-lbf)

4. INSTALL COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Engine

5. INSTALL V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Engine

6. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

NOTICE: When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected  See: Testing and
Inspection/Programming and Relearning/Repair Instruction - Initialization.

7. PERFORM INITIALIZATION

(a) When replacing the ECM, some systems need to be initialized.

Engine control system  See: Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Throttle Body/Service and Repair/Installation

8. PERFORM RESET MEMORY

NOTICE: Perform RESET MEMORY (AT initialization) when replacing the ECM  See: Transmission Control Systems/Testing and
Inspection/Programming and Relearning/Initialization.
HINT: Initialization cannot be completed by only disconnecting and reconnecting the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.

9. PERFORM REGISTRATION

NOTICE: Perform Registration (VIN registration) when replacing the ECM  See: Testing and Inspection/Programming and Relearning.
