Control Module HVAC: Service and Repair
Removal

HEATING / AIR CONDITIONING: AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER: REMOVAL

HEATING / AIR CONDITIONING: AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER: REMOVAL

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system

NOTICE: When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected  See: Testing and
Inspection/Programming and Relearning/Repair Instruction - Initialization.

2. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH

HINT: Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side  See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Headliner/Service and
Repair/Removal.

3. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM COVER RH

HINT: Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side  See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Headliner/Service and
Repair/Removal.

4. REMOVE SIDE INSTRUMENT PANEL RH See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Dashboard / Instrument Panel/Service and

Repair/Removal

5. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Dashboard /

Instrument Panel/Service and Repair/Removal

6. REMOVE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE KNEE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY See: Restraint Systems/Air Bag Systems/Air Bag/Service and

Repair/Front Passenger Side Knee Airbag Assembly/Removal

7. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Dashboard / Instrument

Panel/Service and Repair/Removal

8. REMOVE NO. 2 AIR DUCT

(a) Remove the screw and No. 2 air duct.

9. REMOVE AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the connector. 
(b) Remove the screw and air conditioning amplifier assembly.
