SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEMS: FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG ASSEMBLY: REMOVAL
SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEMS: FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG ASSEMBLY: REMOVAL
1. REMOVE NO. 1 CONSOLE BOX DUCT
HINT: Refer to the procedure up to Remove No. 1 console box duct See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Dashboard / Instrument
Panel/Service and Repair/Removal.
2. DISCONNECT NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL WIRE
(a) Check that the engine switch is off.
(b) Check that the cable is disconnected from the negative (-) battery terminal.
CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
(c) Disconnect the connector.
NOTICE: When disconnecting the airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.
3. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD ASSEMBLY See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Dashboard / Instrument

4. REMOVE NO. 3 HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Dashboard / Instrument Panel/Service and
Repair/Disassembly
5. REMOVE SIDE NO. 2 DEFROSTER NOZZLE DUCT See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Dashboard / Instrument Panel/Service and
Repair/Disassembly
6. REMOVE FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the 2 screws.
