any following defects, replace the front airbag sensor with a new one:

Cracks, dents or chips on the sensor housing.
-
Cracks or other damage to the connector.
-
Peeling off of the label or damage to the serial number.
CAUTION: Be sure to follow the correct removal and installation procedures of the front airbag sensor.
3. INSPECT FRONT AIRBAG SENSOR (VEHICLE INVOLVED IN COLLISION AND AIRBAG IS DEPLOYED)
(a) When airbags have deployed as the result of a collision, be certain to replace all front airbag sensors in the damaged area (anywhere in need of
repair). Furthermore, it is also necessary to replace any front airbag sensors in undamaged areas that have registered a major collision, or
which exhibit any of the following abnormalities.

Cracks, dents or chips on the sensor housing.

Cracks or other damage to the connector.
-
Peeling off of the label or damage to the serial number.
CAUTION: Be sure to follow the correct removal and installation procedures of the front airbag sensor.
Front Passenger Airbag Assembly
SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEMS: FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG ASSEMBLY: ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION
SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEMS: FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG ASSEMBLY: ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION
1. INSPECT FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG ASSEMBLY (VEHICLE NOT INVOLVED IN COLLISION)
(a) Perform a diagnostic system check See: Air Bag Systems/Testing and Inspection/Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes/DTC Check
/ Clear.
(b) With the front passenger airbag assembly installed on the vehicle, perform a visual check. If there are any following defects, replace the
instrument panel with a new one:
Cuts, minute cracks or marked discoloration on the instrument panel around the front passenger airbag assembly.
2. INSPECT FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG ASSEMBLY (VEHICLE INVOLVED IN COLLISION AND AIRBAG HAS NOT DEPLOYED)
(a) Perform a diagnostic system check See: Air Bag Systems/Testing and Inspection/Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes/DTC Check
/ Clear.
(b) With the front passenger airbag assembly removed from the vehicle, perform a visual check. If there are any following defects, replace the
front passenger airbag assembly, instrument panel or instrument panel reinforcement with a new one:
-
Cuts, minute cracks or marked discoloration on the front passenger airbag assembly.
