7. INSTALL STEERING SHAKE DAMPER

(a) Install the steering shake damper to the steering wheel assembly.
(b) Install the 2 screws.

8. TURN FRONT WHEELS TO FACE STRAIGHT AHEAD
9. ADJUST SPIRAL CABLE See: Restraint Systems/Air Bag Systems/Clockspring Assembly / Spiral Cable/Service and Repair/Installation

10. INSTALL STEERING WHEEL ASSEMBLY

(a) Align the matchmarks on the steering wheel assembly and steering main shaft.
(b) Install the steering wheel assembly set nut.

Torque: 50 Nm (510 kgf-cm, 37 ft-lbf)

(c) Connect the connectors to the spiral cable sub-assembly.

11. INSTALL STEERING PAD See: Restraint Systems/Air Bag Systems/Air Bag/Service and Repair/Steering Pad/Installation

12. INSTALL LOWER NO. 3 STEERING WHEEL COVER See: Restraint Systems/Air Bag Systems/Air Bag/Service and Repair/Steering

13. INSTALL LOWER NO. 2 STEERING WHEEL COVER See: Restraint Systems/Air Bag Systems/Air Bag/Service and Repair/Steering

Pad/Installation

14. INSPECT STEERING WHEEL CENTER POINT
15. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

16. INSPECT STEERING PAD See: Restraint Systems/Air Bag Systems/Air Bag/Service and Repair/Steering Pad/Installation

17. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT See: Restraint Systems/Air Bag Systems/Testing and Inspection/Initial Inspection and Diagnostic
