1. CLEAN SURFACE FOR ANTENNA INSTALLATION

Wipe both the inside and outside surfaces of the rear window glass where the antenna will be installed. Wipe from the center outward as shown.
Make sure no oily residue is left on the surfaces.

NOTE:

An ammonia based glass cleaner can be used for this procedure.

INSTALLATION LOCATION

The cellular antenna base should not be touching/ covering any portion of the defogger grid or the glass printed antenna.

NOTE:

The required position is 10 mm left of the centerline to avoid interference with the printed antenna.

OUTER COUPLFNG BOX INSTALLATION

- If the temperature is low (below 15~C, 59~F) when installing the antenna, heat the rear window glass using a hair blow dryer.

- Carefully apply a thin coat of sealant (provided with the new antenna) in the channel (3 mm, 0.1 in.) around the circumference of the Outer

Coupling Box. Remove the red film from the double sided tape on the back of the coupling box.

NOTE:

Make sure the sealant does not come in contact with the surface of the double sided tape because when this occurs, the adhesiveness of the tape
is significantly reduced.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE (Continued):

With the square end of the coupling box pointing upward, position the Outer Coupling Box on the glass and press firmly to ensure the entire
surface of the double sided tape and sealant comes in contact with the glass. Remove excess sealant using a spatula.

Check the circumference of the coupling box to ensure that the sealer has completely filled the gap between it and the glass. If the sealant did not
completely seal, reapply the sealant to fill the gap. Wipe off excess sealant with a rag.

NOTE:

Do not apply excessive force to the coupling box for 24 hours after installation.
