SPEEDOMETER INACCURACY

To improve speedometer accuracy on the LS400, the design tolerance for the speedometer has been changed.

PART NUMBER INFORMATION:

For vehicles built before the production change, the following remanufactured combination meters with the improved speedometers are available:
The new remanufactured Combination Meter Assembly will NOT include the Odometer and Odometer Cover.

The odometer and Odometer Cover must be removed and replaced onto the new remanufactured Combination Meter before installation.

The exchanged Combination Meter must be returned immediately to NDLA when this procedure is completed.

Installation Procedure

INSTALLATION-PROCEDURE FOR REMANUFACTURED COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY:

The following tools are required for this procedure:

Philips Screwdriver

^

Standard Screwdriver with taped head

^

Small Standard Screwdriver

^

Clean work bench

^

Clean pieces of cloth

Preparation of Vehicle:
1.

Verify security status of the audio unit. Obtain the security code from the customer if a code has been set.

2.

Record all preset stations of the audio unit

3.

Tilt the steering wheel to the lowest and most extended position.

4.

Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery. Wait at least 20 seconds before disconnecting any electrical component.
