EGR Temperature Sensor: Service and Repair

REMOVAL OF EGR GAS TEMP. SENSOR

1.  REMOVE EGR VACUUM MODULATOR AND VCV WITH BRACKET

(a)  Disconnect the following hoses:

^  Three vacuum hoses from vacuum pipe
^  Two vacuum hoses from air pipe
^  Two vacuum hoses from VSV for EGR
^  EGR vacuum modulator hose from EGR valve

(b) Remove the EGR vacuum modulator and VCV with bracket from the EGR valve.

2.  DISCONNECT NO.1 PCV HOSE FROM EGR VALVE ADAPTER
3.  DISCONNECT NO.3 AND NO.4 WATER BY-PASS HOSES FROM EGR VALVE

4.  REMOVE EGR VALVE

Remove the two nuts, and remove the EGR valve and gasket.

5.  REMOVE EGR ADAPTER

(a)  Remove the two nuts and two bolts, and remove the EGR valve adapter and gasket.
(b) Disconnect the connector.
