Fuel Pressure: Testing and Inspection

Installing Jumper Wire

Functional Inspection

- Turn ignition on, do not start.
- Using a jumper wire, short check connector terminals FP and +B together.

Fuel Pressure Inspection

- Fuel pump pulsations should be able to be felt by grasping the fuel inlet hose.
- If no pressure is present, check the following

EFI main relay

Fuel pump

Fuel pump resistor

ECU

^

IGN and EFI fuses

^

Circuit opening relay

Wiring connections

EGR VSV

Fuel Pressure Inspection

- Turn ignition OFF.
- Disconnect negative battery terminal.
- Remove EGR VSV.
