Fuel Pressure Control Solenoid: Testing and Inspection
Component Test
VSV Testing - Checking Continuity
- Connect ohmmeter across VSV terminals.
Resistance 33 - 50 ohms
VSV Testing - Checking For Short
- Check that there is no continuity between either terminal and VSV case.
VSV Testing - Checking Operation
- Blow air into port E. Air should flow from port F.
VSV Testing - Checking Operation
- Apply battery voltage across solenoid terminals.
- Blow air into port E. Air should not flow from port F.
- If any step failed to produce desired results, replace VSV.
