Stabilizer Bar: Service and Repair

Removal
1.
Raise and support vehicle, then remove wheel and tire assemblies.
2.
On ES 250 models, remove muffler and tail pipe assembly.
3.
On all models, remove stabilizer links.
4.
Disconnect ABS speed sensor and wire clamps.
5.
Remove stabilizer bar brackets and bushings.
6.
On ES 250 models, support fuel tank using a suitable jack, then remove both tank band installation bolts and lower fuel tank about 1.57 inches.
7.
On all models, remove stabilizer bar from body.
Installation
1.
Position stabilizer bar in body.
2.
On ES 250 models, reinstall fuel tank and torque bolts to specifications.
3.
On all models, install stabilizer bar brackets and bushings, then torque bolts to specifications.
4.
Connect ABS speed sensor and wire clamps.
5.
Install stabilizer link, then wheel and tire assembly and torque to specifications.
6.
On ES 250 models, install muffler and tail pipe.
